South Boston is the page our compactor truck was built for. Resident-permit parking on every block, one-way streets that barely fit a sedan, and a renovation boom happening inside the triple-deckers and condo conversions on every cross street from Telegraph Hill down to City Point. A dumpster on the street here is a real problem — it eats scarce permitted parking, blocks a one-way, and typically needs a street-occupancy permit from the city.
We sidestep every piece of that. Our 30-yard Mac compactor truck pulls up, the crew live-loads drywall, lumber, fixtures, and rubble straight from the unit into the truck, and the truck leaves the same shift. No container left behind, no permit pulled, no neighbor knocking on the door about the parking spot.
We work all of Southie — East and West Broadway, Dorchester Street, the K through O streets, Andrew Square, Fort Point — and we plan the staging around the block before we get there so the haul takes the building, not the neighborhood, into account.
